The Day After

Well for my birthday I had Mexican for lunch and Lasagna for dinner, I had a donut, some cake, black liquorices and more lasagna. I was up 3 pounds this morning but the important thing is that I do not feel bloated for the first time once I have eaten anything that had carbohydrates. I feel normal. I am excited that this normalcy has finally arrived. Here are some pictures I took last week end.

It has been awhile!!

Well it has been awhile, but things are going good my hunger and weight seem to have settled down. I am up 7 pounds but a lot of that seems to be muscle. I have been working out and running 4 to 5 times a week. I still am not eating a lot of crabs (I'm scared) but I have been eating Fiber One this last week, and eating some fruit. Tomorrow is my birthday so it will be a good test as to how my body is dealing with carbs.

Day 21 of Phase 3

It has been a few days since my last post. I have been doing good on phase 3 I am up a bit this morning I can feel it. I laid laminate flooring in my living room this week end and because of the nature of that kind of activity I ate what ever food was available. Lots of carbs. and pop and not a lot of water. So this morning I can feel that I am bloated this morning as well as very sore from all the activity. I am excited to see how my body is adjusting to life outside of HCG!!

7 days to go!!!

My weight has been fluctuating quite a bit in this first 2 weeks of phase 3 . I anticipate that it will start to settle down this week and then continue to become normal as my body re-adjusts to life with out HCG. The one thing that I am realizing and what I suspect that Dr. S was trying to teach in phase 3 was to deal with any weight gain immediately and not just ignore it because it will not just go away. That is what I will take into the final phase. Monitor and correct any weight issues that come up down the road.

Monday Morning QB

I had a very busy week end. I pulled up carpet in my living room on Saturday and did my weight lifting as well and then on Sunday morning I got up and ran 5.34 miles before church. By Sunday afternoon I was completely wiped out. I have one more week on the restricted diet of phase 3. I CANNOT WAIT. ttfn

Busy Weekend

I have had a busy week end and have not been able to weigh my self like I would like. I ran 5 miles this morning and it really wiped me out. I am really enjoying the weight lifting that I have been doing. It is nice to see all of my muscles as they tone. I still have to remind myself that I weigh 170 lbs. I have been reading a new book that I bought called the "12 second sequence" by Jorge Cruise. It is a unique workout routine that use 2 20 minute work outs a week. I will continue to chronicle how it works for me and Denise.

Back down to my LIW 170.00!!

Ever since removing all carbohydrates from my diet I  have dropped 7.5 lbs in 3 days. I know it was all water weight but it sure feels good to get back down in weight. My hunger is also back in control. I have a little over a week to go before I transition into phase 4 (Start adding in Carbohydrates) and from my experience over this last 2 weeks is that at least early on I need to track my calories on a daily basis in order to re-learn how much I am eating in a day. That combined with exercise and life as a skinny person will be long and lean.TTFN

Back Within 2 lbs of LIW

Well today I weighed in @ 171.3 lbs!!!! I was very happy =-) I have not eaten anything with carbohydrates in it since Sunday. On Monday I weighed 177.5 and today I weighed 171.3. I am hoping to get down to or below my LIW. Which will be fine because I have been working out really hard and running 3 and 4 times a week so I expect to loose more weight. I have 10 more days until my weight should settle down and I can eat a wider variety of food.

Phase 3 Day 7 174.3 lbs

I have been eating apples and oranges on phase 3 and have been unable to keep my weight stable!! Allot of water retention. I was even as high as 177.3 (This was at 5:30 am) I normally weigh myself at 7:00 am. I did not eat any carbs at all yesterday and lost 3 lbs over night!! and I can feel the difference in how bloated I feel as well. I have been working out with weight and running 3 days a week. I expect that tomorrow or the next day I will be with in 2 lbs of my LIW. if not I will do a steak day!! TTFN

Day 4 Phase 3 173.2 lbs

My weight is coming down just like it did when I was on my 6 week break in between Phase 2 rounds. Once it stabilizes it should be fairly normal. I have not paid too much attention to the amount of calories I have been eating. This next week I will track my calorie intake very closely. I am planning on continuing to work out and run 5 to 6 days a week. I want to take it slow so I do not injure my self. I will keep you up to date on my progress.

Day 3 Phase 3 173.7

Well I am 3.7 lbs over my last injection weight. I am still not too concerned because I have been running 3 miles and lifting weights every other day. If I am not below 172 lbs by Saturday I will do an apple day followed by a Steak day if needed. I attribute some of the weight to the exercise that I have started and also to the fact that my system is still adjusting to the new menu that I have implemented. So far the nicest thing about Phase 3 is the fact that I can eat when I am hungry, and the limited types of food I can eat help me make wise food choices. TTFN

Day 2 Phase 3 174lbs

I am 4 lbs over my Last Injection Weight (LIW) but from my experience this will improve as my body adjusts to all having to process all this extra food. If I am not down to at least 172 lbs by Friday I will do a Steak Day. I have also found that and Apple Day will work as well as a Steak Day and is actually easier to do because You can eat an apple when ever you get hungry and it  will flush all the extra water from you system.

On To Phase 3

We I am on to Phase 3 of the HCG Diet!!! I took my last shot on Friday of last week. I had always planned on ending this Phase of the diet once my weight and body told me too. My goal weight was 160 lbs and on Friday I was 169.9 but the weight had slowed to the rate that it did not make sense for me to stay on the diet just to try to make my goal weight. I am ready to start the next phase of my life As A Skinny Person!!!!. I will start a 90 day weight lifting program tomorrow and also the 21 days of no sugar and starches high protein diet. My wife is very happy with my decision to move on to phase 3. I will post a picture of my body tonight when I get home.

The one thing I found out once I started the HCG Diet was that all though I spent several weeks consuming information on the diet as I waited for My HCG to arrive. Day 34 P2R2 169.9 lbs!!!!!

I have finally broke into the 160's Woo Hoo. It was close this morning I thought I was going to end up @ 170.1 but I made one last trip to the potty and lo and behold 169.9. On a more personal note I had to go and purchase some new underwear and was able to buy SMALLS if you can believe that.

Day 33 Phase 2 Round 2 170.2 lbs

Only down .3 lbs but still on the mark to reach my goal of 160 lbs by February 14th!! That will be 3 days after my last shot but I figure that what ever I weigh at that point will be the final weight of the HCG Diet.

I have run the last 2 days 1mile on Tuesday and 1.6 yesterday. I am trying to see how it may affect weight lose. I have been running up to 3 miles on the breaks in between rounds so my body is used to running and I try to keep the distance down around 1 mile. I have also noticed that my weight loss this last ampoule (4th) of HCG has slowed to about 3.5 lbs a week as I expected. The less fat there is to burn for fuel the slower the weight loss will be, but the weird thing is during the other 3 ampoules my weight loss on the week ends was slower the during the week but this time has been reversed. I lose more on the week end then during the week? I am hoping that is the case this week end because I am only 1.8 lbs this week. We had a birthday lunch today at work and I had a salad that had cheese in it. It will be interesting to see how that might affect weight loss. TTFN

Broke the stall!!! 170.5lbs


Today I am down to 170.5 lbs !!! it is good to finally lose some weight. I have noticed that as I get closer to my goal weight of 160 lbs my weekly weight loss is slowing down. Right now it is around 3.5 lbs this round compared to around 6 lbs that last round. That is fine I will need to lose an average 0f 3.44 lbs a week to reach my goal!! I thought I would post a picture of a graph that shows my weight loss since September 10th when I started the HCG Diet. You should be abel to click on the picture and see it full size. I am stalled @ 172 lbs !!!!

I have not lost any weight since I lost 2lbs overnight last Friday 1/18. This is the longest I have ever stalled. I am getting plenty of fluids although I am cutting back on the soda today and tomorrow if I do not lose I will do an "Apple Day" I know it does nothing but cause you to lose water but I am so close to the 160's that I am really impatient. I know I am in a stall because I have not been eating wrong or too much. I had a good discussion with my brother and sister last night it was very nice to finally talk to someone who is on the diet. My sister just started yesterday and was amazed that the shot did not hurt at all!! That was great because she will be giving herself the shots. I am excited to have a total of 4 members of my family and one in law of Dan's on this diet. TTFN

Purpose of this Blog

I know I am late in the game with a blog about the HCG Diet, But I am entering the Phase that will end up being the most important for all of us "LIFE AS A SKINNY PERSON"!!!!. Also as more people that we know are starting the Diet my experience will be very helpful. My plan is that when I address a issue or question (or when I learn something from my brothers and sister ) from someone on the diet I will publish it here so everyone will be able to benefit from the answer.

My HCG Journey

I started the HCG Diet back on September 10th 2007 weighing in @ 234.5 lbs. I completed my first round of Phase 2 on November 9th 2007 Weighing 188.2 lbs that is 46.3 lbs in 60 days. In that 60 days I took 50 shots and developed immunity so I was forced to take a 6 week break. On December 14th 2007 weighing 189.3 lbs. I made it through Christmas without any problems or cheating. It was very tough mentally. Over New Years I won a trip to the Rose Bowl from KJR AM so I was in California. I did not take my HCG with me out of fear of it getting confiscated. On both New Years Eve and New Years Day I ate more than is on the diet but I did not eat anything that was not allowed. I did not drink enough fluids however. I left weighing 179.9 LBS My weight on January 3rd was 178.5. I continued to lose weight through the weekend and got as low as 175.5 lbs on 1/6/2007 but I had lost my mental focus and was hungry all the time and was eating too much food so I decided to take a break for a week and try to regain my focus. In that week I tried to stay lo carb. but ate plenty of the wrong foods. I did not record my weight but it was all over the place. I did and "Apple Day" on Friday the 11th and weighed in @ 176.2 lbs. on Saturday January the 12th. I took my first shot after the break and did a very light load (only protein) for 2 days and then started the VLCD on Tuesday January 15th weighing 178.2. Today I am down to 171.9 and have 21 days to reach my goal weight of 159.5 lbs (This would give me a total of 75 lbs lost in 5 months). That is enough for now I will continue to add to this Journey that we are on and add information from what has worked in the past and what is working (and not working) in the future. TTFN

HCG Diet P2 R2 day Day 35

I weighed in today @ 171.9 down .6 lbs overnight. I lost 2lbs over night on Saturday the 19th (174.2 lbs-172 lbs), But then I worked out with weights and did some lunges and gained a half pound on Sunday (173.5). half of that pound came off last night. I figure the weight gain and lack of weight loss is because of water retention. I usually do not lose much weight on the weekends any ways. I did some squats this morning and will work out very lightly tonight in order to move any waste from my muscle ( I am still pretty sore). It will be interesting to see how the weight loss is this week.
